I'm so glad to hear you're ok, little E. I hope that it's almost over.
The weather was gorgeous here this morning (sorry to rub it in.) After days of brutal heat and humidity, it was a very pleasant 69 degrees (tee hee.) And not humid. It might have changed by now...usually does, but at least it was nice for a bit.
Take care!! Hurricanes scare the poop outa me!! Like tornadoes!!

The rain has picked up more. And it's so windy. I watched a poor seagull try to fight the wind gusts. It was a little funny.

We just got hit with severe thunderstorms. It was really bad for an hour here. We had high winds and torrential (sp) downpours for the whole hour. Yards are flooded, trees 3 ft diametre cracked in half, we saw about 10 big ones down, branches everywhere. I was scared to death. Scared enough to go into the basement with the dogs and flashlights. It whipped the heck out of our tent trailer that we are in the process of repairing. I am still shaking from the panic attacks I was having. We got a bit of hail hitting the windows thunder lightning strikes everywhere. Took a tree out a block from us. We have more on the way they say. My stomach is in knots. I hope it will pass without doing to much more damage. My nerves are already shot.

No. We will have to try again tomorrow. It has calmed down out here now. We had the power out for a bit but its back on now. We just went out to dry out our trailer. We are going camping on labour day weekend hopefully. We just have to fix a couple of things on the tent trailer and we cant wait.

Well mother nature is busy today! There has been heavy rain off and on and now thunderstorms since early evening. The power was out everywhere when we went to pick up our car today. There were police everywhere directing traffic, stores closed because the entire shopping center was in the dark, trees down, and flood watches. It is flooding in my backyard right now.
My daughter has a water day scheduled with her playgroup for tomorrow, but it's supposed to rain until tomorrow afternoon and the temperature will drop. I think it will only be around 80 degrees tomorrow. I didn't see rain nor thunderstorms for Friday's forecast. I don't know what I'd do if we had a hurricane watch too. I'm shutting down my computer now because the thunder and lightning is starting to freak me out. I'm already sitting in the dark. I have this crazy logic that if everything is off in my home during a storm that my house won't lose power. As if Mother Nature would skip my house.
I hope everyone is safe and the storms pass very soon, with no damage.

I just did get caught up on posts from yesterday and saw where you had a rough time. I'm sorry it was so stressful for you. Hugs!!

Thanks Bibi. Ya, the weather is calming down here. Spouts of sunshine even. Glad things are getting better, Miss E. Poor seagull...I always think when I see birds like that..."Why don't you just land and try again later!" It looks like they would poop out.

E and Laurie, how are you? Has the rain stopped, yet? It rained hard this morning, but it's clear now. Still rain in the forecast, but you couldn't tell by looking outside. Thanks.
