Ok, so here was the picture taken back in the late 70s when my brother and I went to the St. Louis Zoo with our parents. And here I am with my brother and his sons last week in front of the Puffins. It's amazing that my brother was smiling that much. He hates smiling in pictures. Wow, that is really cool!!

When I retire I would like to go thru all my old pics and scan them and put them on cd's so I have them to keep forever. I'm sure it will bring back alot of memory's.

So we got our niece a prepaid visa card. It's called a "Visa Buxx" card, if anyone is ever interested. It's specifically geared toward teens. You put money on it online. We have it set up to come out of our checking account. For now we'll give her $20 per week. Hopefully that will be enough. She shouldn't need more than that. She's already gone to the movies twice with it, and she was so excited that she didn't have to beg someone for money. Her happniess makes it all worth it.
I was concerned at first that we couldn't set the card up for her, because we aren't her legal guardians. But I called, and they said that was fine. As long as they had an account to take the money out of, they don't care if it's her mom's or her aunt's. That was good. We just needed her social security number, which she got from her mom.
We had to shut off her ability to download ringtones and songs on her cell phone though. She downloaded 21 songs last month!!! That was almost $50. Then we also got charged for the media usage to download them. Ouch!! It was over $70 in extra crap. She said she was glad we shut it off, because she doesn't realize how many she's doing sometimes. Holy crap! That about made us both pass out.
She is still suffering a lot. She went with me to karate class both nights this week, even though she just sat at the side and watched. She wanted to see Senseis. She misses it, but she just can't focus right now.
She's seeing a new boy. I hope he's a decent person. Worry, worry, worry.
Thanks again for all your concern, prayers and kind thoughts.

I'm glad you got the card thing taken care of. I know that it is a big stress point for you.

I'm glad you got the card thing taken care of. I know that it is a big stress point for you. Yup, we're so glad we can do that. We know that if there is a time when she really needs money, we can get it to her without having to actually see her. As I said in the other thread...I'll be glad to get you guys one too!! It'll just be empty!! But you'll still have a cool card!!

Oh they look like they are having so much fun. I wish I had that kind of energy then I wouldn't be so worn out from a bike ride.

They look like they were having a blast!! I know exactly what you are talking about when you say they wore you out!! My DS is 4 and he has all that energy... He runs around here like there's no tomorrow. And he and daddy get in the floor and wrestle. He tries to do that stuff with me but I always tell him to save it for Daddy. He's ROUGH!! You deserved that NAP!! LOL

Thanks, everyone!! They are my pride and joy, even though they aren't mine!! They make me smile, that's for sure. So much energy, it's amazing.
I'm afraid the older one has a touch of my OCD. He's quite disturbed by dust. He always tells me that I need to dust my apartment more. I tell him that he could do it for me, but he says, "Well, not right now." He doesn't even want to touch my dust. And he's a little too scared of bugs, including flies. I tell him he needs to get over the fly thing...they are everywhere. I'm afraid he's going to get teased at school. He's a bit squeamish about a few too many things. I hope he toughens up a bit, or he's going to have trouble. The younger one seems a lot tougher.
