I'd like to go back in the fall so my husband can go with me. He'd really like it, but he does NOT do heat. I was wet with sweat sometimes. But they had these cool mister poles here and there. It misted out water at you, and I got in it once.

Carol, I'm glad you all had fun. Your nephews are adorable.
I just love the zoo. Our playgroup went yesterday and my dd & I were just there last week. We had fun like we hadn't been in months. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Carol I love all the pics. Your nephews are adorable. I'm glad you guys had a great time.
I especially got a laugh out of the pic of your nephew and the middle finger. Did his Auntie Carol teach him this? LOL

Thanks, Kim and Huntress!!
I swear that I did not teach Zach to point with his middle finger. But I do it a lot without thinking. So maybe he saw me do it and picked up on it. Oops!! I just couldn't believe it when I saw it in the picture. Too funny!!!

I just couldn't believe it when I saw it in the picture. Too funny!!! My daughter points with her middle finger and my stepdaughter used to when she was her age. I'll have to watch her the next time we're together to see if she still does. I keep trying to correct Rachel but it's just natural for her to use that finger..

For some reason it just feels really natural to point with that finger. I don't even realize I'm doing it. I don't know if it's because it's longer than the others or what, but it just feels better. I need to be careful though. Richard is all the time saying, "Stop flipping me off!" ;D

Ok, so here was the picture taken back in the late 70s when my brother and I went to the St. Louis Zoo with our parents. And here I am with my brother and his sons last week in front of the Puffins. It's amazing that my brother was smiling that much. He hates smiling in pictures.
