I think the chase pet is the alternate pet. All the cases, A1, A2, B1, B2, have the same pets with the addition of the special edition pet. I'm guessing that pre-ordering both cases will guarantee obtaining the special chase pets. In stores there will be fewer of these compared to the others in that shipment. I would have liked for the chase pet to be a variant of the same mold because it would give everyone the opportunity to obtain the new pet. Making a chase pet be an actual rare new mold is just mean...can you imagine parents/collectors, who do not pre-order, searching stores for these new pets or paying way too much on ebay?! *edit* Does anyone think they'll be a revision to each case like A1 and A1 revision? This is my take on it, too... I think stores will receive a few boxes of one, a few boxes of the other. HOPEFULLY, it will at least be a 50/50 ratio. *sweats*

Here is the reply I got from BBTS: "Hi,
A Chase figure is most likely just special assortment figure with a different packaging , deco, and or exclusive accessories. These are random and not in every case assortment.
Thanks! Rita Customer Service Specialist www.BigBadToyStore.com"The main thing being here "not in every case assortment", which I think cancels the theory about if you order each of A1, A2 and so on you're guaranteed a chase figure. It will be randomly placed and some people will be lucky to find it. In the article I posted on page 3 says that a chase figure is like the original figure but with some variations that can be as small as a different paint an so on. It doesn't say that a chase figure is a different mold.

One interesting thing that might be pertinent is that the new Revisions and p1/p2s don't include the "May contain Chase Figure" lines.... Here is the reply I got from BBTS: "Hi,

That's what I was just getting ready to say. That so far, the first case (A1) of Collectible Pets is the only one that says anything about Chase Pets.

I've noticed that too I think that A1, A2, B1 and B2 are cased the way they are because the Bat, Pink Flamingo, Lion and the Inchworm are the "Special Edition" pets and are in limited quantities.

I think they are the Chase Pets. If they're NOT, woe betide us all.... Chase Pets AND special edition, limited pack pets? The mind boggles.

Special edition items are usually limited in quantities but all the same, where the chase items are purposely made to be slightly different and placed randomly. Otherwise, the BBTS would not specify in the description which specific pet you're getting in a case. I think LPS is in a league of the major collectors now and we will start seeing more of Chase, Limited, Special and Exclusive items in the future.

Edit: RdDuck63, I didn't see your reply and my post wasn't in reply to yours We'll have to wait and see... --------------------------------------------------------------- I'll just wait and see what I and the others receive, and then we'll know for sure. My head seriously hurts right now ;D All I know that there should be difference between Special Edition and Chase items, right? They wouldn't be called differently if they were the same, would they?

I think they may have originally planned to shuffle the two "chase" pets into that one case, so, like, those who ordered the flamingo case "might" have gotten the lion. Now, though, it seems like Hasbro offered split guaranteed cases, and BBTS split it up without mentioning the chases anymore, so hopefully that'll be the end of it for online ordering.

I'm sure we all would like the Chase pets to be easily obtainable so I hope you're right Kevin I just wanted to let you all know that I re-did the first post on the Page 1, so it's more clear what collectible cases are available and what is in each case.

Well, I had the misfortune of NOT checking the forum yesterday so I missed out on all the excitement I also missed out on some of the pre-orders at BBTS that I would have placed if I'd been there in time. Oh well, I'm usually pretty lucky at finding things in stores anyhow. Now I am completely confused about the chase pet issue. Time will tell, of course...
