New to LPS

Hey all. I just discovered these little guys the other day and became addicted quickly. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed trying to figure them all out. I bought a BUNCH of 2 packs @ walmart but trying to understand which are HTF and which are not is going to take me some time.

I have MLP's down to a T and now this... UGH!!!

So I am seeing there are exclusives for these as well.

Is there a difference when some came as singles and in the 2 packs?

Anyone have some advice for a new collector?

I figured out that black scottie is HTF and I cant find him, but they say the monkey is too and I got an extra of him just in case I'd need it for trade. But my walmart has a TON of otherones they say are HTF and I'm clueless!?

I don't know about your walmart, but the walmart stores around here never have anything "rare". I usually find the good stuff at Target, and Toys R Us. You are lucky to have found the monkeys, some people are still looking for those. The black scottie is very very very HTF, if you are willing to pay a lot then I would go to ebay, that is where I had to buy mine. The ferret with the leash is also another hard one to find. If you are still wanting to trade a set of monkeys I would suggest looking through the trade section on this board, if you haven't already. Good luck with your new collection !!

all the older sets that were first found in the stores such as bulldog w/seesaw, cat w/bird, black cat w/hamster and ball are very hard to find now but not very desirable to most so they aren't worth much! then there's the other ones that are hard to find/ and very wanted such as the monkeys (although you can find them now if your lucky), black scottie, crab (not so rare now), tabby cat, white poodle (although Even I now have seen him in the stores), turtle w/tank...ect..the higher they are wanted the more valuable they are! As for you finding the monkeys in your stores I have yet to see them! But most have not gotten the black scottie and I've got 3! so it all depends, WELCOME!

thanks... i seem to have found alot of them with the 2 packs. i love the turtle & the crab. reminds me of my pets pre-kid days!

Wow, you have done pretty good so far !! I did the same with our pets, gave some to my daughter now, but I'm keeping a bunch put away for xmas !! I can't wait !!

Wow, you have got a lot so far!!! Congrats!!!
What I did when I first started was printed up the actual pictures that ilfiorelaluna has, then I checked them off along the way.
A super rare one here is the white-faced overseas ferret w/leash. Then one that was harder to find for me, but not for others was the orange guinea pig. I wasn't sure there would be a big difference, but one is bright orange, and the other easier to find one is dark brown.
Then there is the new Fancy Friends set that just came out which I haven't been able to find in stores yet!
