I found this forum last fall while looking for the Around the World set for my daughter. Does anyone know if there will be a new Target exclusive set or tin for this winter? If so, when should I be looking on Target.com for the preorder? Thanks, everybody!  |

I found this site the same way last year!!
I missed it last year, but I think Bibi is right. It should show up for preorder on Target.com in the next couple of months. I am hoping someone on here will find it as I am always the last one to know!

That's right. I'd forgotten about that.
I would think there will be something, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I don't think there's been even a hint about it yet though. Some people think those 'snowglobe' 2 pet sets will be at Target, but we're all just speculating at this point.

I spent 2 months after christmas trying to catch up on some of the stuff I missed. Whatever it is I bet it will be expensive and uterly cute!!! |

Thanks for the link, Little Pet Crazy! I missed it by about 2 weeks last year. By the time I started seeing it on ebay, the preorder was gone from Target's website. It took months of stalking Target constantly before I finally found it. Gas is too expensive to stalk anymore, so I'll be sure to catch that preorder!!

Last year, once I knew about it, I started watching Amazon.com. I got lucky in November and Target had them available on the Amazon site. I bought 11 and paid for express shipping. I sold the other 10 for a killing on ebay and paid for most of the kid's Christmas presents. The Amazon price was higher than the in-store price, but since I was able to get them before they got released in stores, I was able to sell them. Almost all went to France or England, though, so I didn't even feel bad about it.

They showed up in stores either the weekend after black friday or so. They are in the sunday flyer and are listed as when it is gone it is gone..and with Ebay everyone grabs them and sells them on ebay. I usually get there when the store opens that day to get mine. Last year I did find a few after the sale they must of been returned. If they dont have a pre-order this year I would suggest watching the flyers and getting there when they open.

I hope they make one this year i missed out on the tin they had a few years ago but i got the Round The World set last year at the end of November and i am looking forward to buying a collectors set again this year but only if i like the pets lately i havent been likeing many if the new pets because of the paint jobs. I'll just have to wait and see.

I just happened to check the Target.com last year right after they listed it for sale. I was one of the lucky ones that ended up getting mine after they said orders would be canceled and all the crap we went thru.
I was just thinking about this a couple days ago and that we will have be to be checking daily. Just an FYI if I remember correctly they were put on the website right after midnight.

It really varies by area. They were on the shelf for a least a week after they came out at our stores. Then they started to sell out. I still managed to find an extra one at the 75% off after Christmas toy clearance, though. |

but the day after christmas in charlotte/matthews nc I bought about 20 ATW sets for 1/2 off $12.50
