OK, Mrs.E, I finally took the pics and I *guess* I can reveal my first custom, who's been done for 3 weeks now, lol! I used the Bratz Petz that I got at Dollar Tree (so I wouldn't mess up a LPS on my first try, lol)... He's a flying piggy, mostly just a repaint, except I added a little curly tail (b/c pigs are suppose to have curly tails!! I couldn't stand that he didn't have one originally!).. I made him a cloud base out of sculpey. I had some big problems with this... you can still see my fingerprints in it, and I really wish I could've made it smoother. Also w/ 2 dogs, I was constantly fighting to keep dog hair out of the paint job (even when I painted outside!!). I'm not 100% satisfied, but I guess for a 1st, I can accept him. BEFORE: AFTER: [/img] If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix the issues (fingerprints in sculpey, dog hair sticking) I had for next time, I'm all ears! Thanks for looking! And BTW, reasons it takes me so long to post pictures... b/c I know when I go to take pictures, this happens: And then, I notice that THIS popped up overnight (they were closed last time I was outside!)!: And then I get in and post them, and I'm running late for work, LOL.. Anyways, enjoy guys! It was fun! ;D

I wouldn't worry about touching a brush to an LPS! This one turned out great! As to the sculpty clay (fingerprints) just lightly smooth them with your finger in quick motions. This works for me! Can't wait to see your next one!!

See! I knew it'd be great! Wonderful work. I sighed out loud (SOL). I like the name on the base, very cute. Wonderful job, all around. For the fingerprints, I'll wet my finger then smooth it out. You can also always use sandpaper on it after it dries. Great work.

Thanks so much you guys! He was a lot of fun... sorry it took forever to post him, lol. I really appreciate all the compliments... I got to thinking, he turned out ok, but I think I was a little upset because, well, the bratz petz aren't as cute before, so there's only so far you can take one after, lol. Still, convincing myself to let him be "done" and not keep doing touch-ups is SO hard! lol. Thanks again, though. You guys have been so great, and of course I'm a huge fan of your customs, E & Judy especially! Thanks for the advice for the sculpy/fingerprints issue.. I'll give 'em both a try and see how that goes.. It was really annoying for me! I wish I had appoxie sculpt or something else that was better quality, but it works ok, I suppose! The base was definitely hard for me, though-- starting from scratch w/ such a huge piece of clay - ick! "Angel pig, angel pig, does whatever an angel pig does." Hehehehehe, this made me giggle! I loved that part of the Simpsons movie! See! I knew it'd be great! Wonderful work. I sighed out loud (SOL). I like the name on the base, very cute. Wonderful job, all around. Great work. Thanks bunches, E! I'm glad it lived up to your expectations, lol. The writing was really hard but fun. Not the best, but I liked it better with than without (especially after the time put into it, lol!). Seriously, thanks again guys.. I do feel better having him posted, lol... I really have been meaning to, lol. Those roses were a huge surprise when I went out to take pics - they ARE gorgeous, huh? Believe it or not, I did NOTHING... no green thumb here, apparently that bush has been there and just magically transformed now that spring/summer is here!! I gasped when I saw what this ugly old "dead" bush had turned into, lol! At any rate, thanks again for all the sweet compliments (& advice)! As for my next customs, I have one I've started on for a custom/repaint/decorating Pharoah-Egypt-Kitty (I wasn't impressed with the PoTW one). I also am planning one for the mythology/fantasy theme workshop... I've got a GREAT idea and know exactly how I want to do it, just need to pick up the *gasp* knife and brush and get started! Also got a couple sets with "disposable" pets that I'm thinking of repainting. ;D Thanks again guys!!
