I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section, but I thought it might be most useful here, since they'd likely only be used for parts/repaints or something. I went to my dollar store today and found LPS, actually more like Bratz Petz look-alikes. They're really cute. The eyes aren't great, but might be good to repaint to practice eyes on! Who knows! I got all 4 that they had, because I just can't bring myself to actually repaint a LPS as my very first... if I destroy one of these, so be it! I took pics as soon as I got them home for you guys. They're at the bottom of the post. They come w/ a whole playset and everything which might be useful for custom accessories or something. They're sold at Dollar Tree stores... although there are 2 in my area, and I went driving around a bit and found the Petz at one store ONLY and they had sorta Bratz Babies look-alikes at the other ONLY... sorta strange. Anyways, if you REALLY want one, I can pick one up for you, but I thought this was definitely worth a heads-up. Here are the pics of the Petz (I didn't get any of the bratz babies type ones.. not into those at all): Bunny: Comes w/ Beauty Shop Playset (magazine, hats, carrots) Snake: Comes w/ Roller Derby Playset (Disco Ball, Rollerskate, Record) Monkey: Comes w/ Smoothie Shop Playset (bananas, blender, sign) Pig: Comes w/ Mud Spa Playset (bathtub, Shower Head)

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I've wanted to join Judy in the Bratz Petz customizing, but I don't have any petz to work with. I'll keep an eye out for these! Thank you! I like the snake besssssst.

Hehe, yeah I was so surprised to see them! I figured they'd be great to at least practice my customizing skills on. I actually like this little snake too, although the piggy is my fave (love pigs!). The eyes aren't really too great, but I figured everyone says eyes are so hard to repaint, so maybe they'd be good to practice that on! E, I dont think this are ACTUAL Bratz Petz, although they have the same name... I think they're a look alike. Still cute! At any rate, I'm going to open one up (or maybe all) later... I'll try to get better closeups of them (the package made it reflect a little) to post. Go, check your dollar trees! If you can't find em and want, I can try to snag one for you, although It would probably be best to ship w/o packaging- they're heavy little boxes for a dollar store item! LOL! And no problem, I was going to get them anyway, so taking pics is nothing!

Those are very interesting. The snake is kinda cool. I'm surprised they can use the "Bratz" name like that. I thought that would be copyrighted. But I guess since they call them Itsy Bitsy Bratz Petz, then it's different? Interesting....hmmmm...thanks for sharing.

I bought them then thinking the accessories would be good for my LPS customs. Never used them and not sure where I put them. I'll have to dig around a little. They started out coming with the Bratz Babyz and then they sold them separately like this. Anyway - They would be great for a repaint!! Judy

Yes! My thought exactly! I got all 4 pets and those will be my first 4 customs/repaints ever! Then if I'm decently skilled ( ), I'll try on my actual LPS. I've already decided to do the bunny first, and I know what I want to do for repaint, only trying to decide between a few different colors for the main body. Was going to start this weekend, but ran out of time.. may have to wait til next weekend unless I find some time during the week. Either way, I'm really excited to finally do a custom I won't have to worry about ruining! And thanks for all the info - that's really neat that these are REAL bratz.. I usually hate bratz, so I had no clue, just figured they were cheapy generic type of Bratz, although I wondered about the copyright issues like mrsvalden pointed out (I do find myself related to her comments all the time too, as someone else said about themselves in another thread!). Well, now I know! And thanks again! I'm really happy w/ these little guys.. lots of little accessories to use and/or repaint too! And they DID have the Bratz Babies too (I THOUGHT they looked real, haha! They were!), but I don't like them, so I left them on the shelf.

OK, so since I started my first custom today on one of these little guys, I opened them all up and got new/better/close-up pictures for you guys. Here's what they look like in more detail (including my commentary, since I'm frustrated with a couple of em!): BUNNY:This is the one that's got me real upset. I was planning to use this little guy for my first custom. I had a GREAT idea (inspired by Allison and Bela) and was all psyched up to do it. Then I opened the package and realized he has NO EARS. He came w/ a "Hare" salon playset, so instead there are 3 hats, one of which is ears w/ a bow... but w/ no hat on, he's very odd looking, lol. I thought about super-gluing the hat on or sculpting ears for him, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Might also be good to use for a future custom, but I was too frustrated to think on it tonight. Here are the pics: Here are what he looks like w/ the 3 hats on: PIG:Apparently this little guy has wings. I didn't realize this before. I like the idea of a flying pig, so I'm not complaining. He may even prove useful in the future for cutting off the wings to use on a horse or for a fairie or dragon LPS. MONKEY:He's pretty cute. The biggest problem I have with him is that his tail spins in a circle to use with the playset. I'm not sure what I can do to make it stay in one spot, but I'm sure there's a way. The accessories with the playset are really cute, too. Here you can see how his tail is suppose to fit into the thing to make the smoothie machine turn.. shows what I don't like about him, closer, SNAKE:I think he's the other great one to actually repaint/customize. The way he's s'pose to work is his body pops off in half so he can ride the roller skate. It's hardly noticable when he's "together" though, and I could probably very easily super glue the 2 parts together. He also seemed to be everyone's fave.

Those are very cool! I kind of love the little pig with the wings. I'm going to have to go inspect them at the Dollar store, haha! Cant' wait to see what you do with them!
