So I'm using a gloss sealer for the first time on our "customs for customizers" project and am having a bit of a hard time, it seems like the sealer wants to bubble. Am I shaking it too much? Spraying too close? I think I'm getting a little enthusiastic, I really want this custom to have that thick, glossy, candy looking coating like Judy's customs. And for all that's holy, how many coats does that TAKE??? I'm using the krylon low-odor gloss sealer, if it matters.
Thanks for any input!

Maybe you're too close. You should be at least a ruler's length away. And maybe you're not waiting long enough between coats, for drying. I don't really know, I'm not familiar with the product. I read your post to my husband, and that's what he suggested. He also says to try a Krylon Crystal Clear Sealant next time.

Also,I find if you spray them outside in the cold weather it tends to do that too.

bubbling is usually caused by two heavy of coats. Alot of time the bubbles will go away when the pet is dry though. And yes, if it is too cold (the bottle or the atmosphere) bubbles can also arise...
Good luck!

ah, i'm done with adding creatures, I stopped with the two witches, the dorothy and toto and the tin man, cowardly lion and scarecrow. I got some really great tips on photographing for ebay and I wanted to really make that part look great, but I havn't been feeling so hot and hadn't gotten around to it. I'm hoping this weekend I can finally take the pictures.
Thanks for your interest!
