If you manage to figure out what happened with the rabbit then at least with the guineas (tho I am not sure you can with the horses since they have 2 hair spots I think) you could probably hold them by the hair and dip them in and then hang them by the hair to dry.

^ see that's why i could never get into casting stuff. anything 3d takes way too much brainpower for me, i have horrible spatial-relationship processing. you guys blow me away with how you figured out the hair-spots and things, i have no idea how i'd cast em. i think i'd probably cast them in halves with notches that would fit together properly, and glue the two pieces together. but that is probably caveman compared to your ideas. i hope bun bun dries and is not sticky bun bun.

To test them couldn't you fill it with some run of the mill melted wax or soap you can get at the craft store until the resin comes?
You wouldn't happen to guess that I am really interested in some replicas of the original guineas would you? I saw a vintage set on ebay and it was $55! That is way too much!

Misty did you use a heat gun on that? J/W because I used to mess around with resin and failed miserably. Apparently a heat gun gets the bubbles out or so I hear. I haven't tried it though.

could the resin be reacting to the mold stuff? i don't think you should have to dremel it... :\
...although dremels are so fun, go ahead and dremel to your leisure if you want LOL!! are you using alginate or rubber mold?
