I wondered the same thing about what the blue bottle was for since my guinea pig set did not come with that. I'm still searching for that piece to complete my set. The water bottle does not seem to come apart from what I could tell when I mess with it so I can't be sure of what the blue thing was meant for. As for the bunny set, the gold bunny was part of the mail order bunnies or at least I think one came with that set. I haven't looked at mine in a while so not sure what color you could call him. Not sure on the carrots. Hope I helped some.

Yeah, I'm hardly an expert. It's mostly based on what I've seen on eBay myself. Corrections are welcome!

Ok, I found the problem. This was one of those from Tabby's site (http://furbyrocks.tripod.com/LPS.htm) that I never proof-read and compared to the pictures I had saved (like looking over tons of pictures of Marching Mice I've decided that the grey:white ratio seems to be 2:1 or 1:2, but the poses of each color vary). Anyway, I have several loose pictures saved of the mommy/baby bunnies sets with both colors of mother. I'll see if I can figure out what they are supposed to be. I know the gold bunny thing is a mistake. As for the guinea pigs, I have no idea about that.

Ok, checked several guinea pig pictures. The picture I have of the back of the card is too tiny to see what the purpose of everything is, but there is a clear water bottle and a blue water bottle. I don't know what the gimmick is. Also, the carrots appear pearlized. I could be wrong, though. (Similar to carrots with Sweatheart Ponies also). It's definitely better than the cheapo solid orange ones. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I'll check and see. As for the carrots: I don't actually own these sets so I don't have pictures comparing them side-by-side. It would be great if someone that actually has them all that is *sure* that they are all original pieces of the set could take a photo side-by-side. Does anyone have a picture of the mysterious gold bunny that it seems people used to randomly think belonged with the variation set? None of the Baby Buddies bunnies seem to be in that pose either? littlestpetshop.50webs.com/babybuddies.htm

Ok. Here's the real scoop. Some you already know. First of all the Easter bunnies DID NOT come with a baby yellow bunny. The yellow bunny is from the mail order pawprint pets like someone said along with a standing (or stretching depending how you look at it) white bunny, and a crouching little white and yellow spotted one. (my favorite!) As for the guinea pigs, yes there are basically 2 water bottles. One is the main drinking one, goldish with blue plastic "water" inside that hangs from inside the cage, and the other is a blue bottle with sparkles. The "water" inside the gold one moves around so that when you move the little lever on the spout, the "water disappears", or rather drops down where it is hidden. Then you are supposed to turn the whole thing upside down while "filling it back up" with the blue sparkle bottle, and move the lever back to hold it in place. Then you place the gold drinking bottle in the cage, and one of the guinea pigs (the grey one) "takes a drink" by pressing up against the spout lever again, and just like magic, the water disappears again!! And yes, the carrots that came with this set are the lightest colored of any of the carrots with other sets, and are pearlized. Hope this helps you all!

Awesome! Cool to know that!
And I fixed the bunny thing on the web site. That does seem that gold was random to throw in. Perhaps the variation set on eBay was rarer, and a photo made a brown one appear goldish? Anyways, I would have thought that the sets followed a pattern (gold goes with the mommy and kitties set instead of brown, for example). Anyways, as best I can tell the Tabby site was put together using pamphlet photos and her collection plus the input of people on her message board and LPS/MLP Yahoo group. So it's easy for a little mix-up to get in there. I made TONS of corrections when I made my site from the information presented there, but as you see even a year later I still missed a few details. I think I remember meaning to go back and double check this one but never got around to it.
