I agree. I love their big bobblin' heads! They need to make more different animals, like pigs, whales, snakes, etc... I know, have patience. lol

i'm fave are the oringals they looked like perfect little models of really animals. I really liked the originals, too. My sister had a ton while we were growing up (I was deamed too old for them) and I loved to play with them. But, I really have taken a liking to the new ones, too. My kids really do like the bobble heads. So, each generation has their pros and cons

Strangely, I don't ever remember seeing the orignals when I was a kid. I kind of remember a commercial or two, but I don't think I ever saw them in a toy store. Digging through the pictures, they are cute, but less cartoony. I like that most of them have genuine animal accessories, as opposed to the tiaras and hairbrushes and slippers that the new pets have. I agree with Jeni, each generation has good and bad points, but all are so friggin' cute!

I don't remember seeing them either and I had no idea they made movies/shows of them. I really like the newer ones though, they are so cute and I love their eyes!

I'm torn because I loved playing with the old ones. But they are so different to me I don't really compare them that much. Nothing beats the old lizard/iguana/chameleon whatever he was. Thats what drew me back into the old ones and now sucked into the new ones. Although the new iguana is cute next to him!

I'm not sure which I like more, but I'd probably go with the new ones. Although I had dozens of the old sets when I was little, my mom gave them all away. I'm slowly collecting them again though, and I already have a few of the ones I used to have.

I never really liked the cartoons myself. I still prefer the old toys better, although the new ones are kind of cute too The main things that bug me about the new ones are the square heads, and the weird eyes. Now that someone pointed it out though, the newer new ones (lol) are starting to look much better^^

I disagree. I prefer the adorable vintage LPS. But even some of those I don't particularly find "cute" (ie. not crazy about the Shamu set that seems oh so easy to come across on Ebay or the monkeys). I used to think the new LPS were ugly with their giant bobbly heads. Some of them are starting to grow on me now, though. Gotta get the ferret and the cat that looks like my boy at least. I still don't like the new guinea pig though. New LPS snakes would be SO COOL, though!!! I would totally buy them.

Well I have to say it wasn't for BabyPupperfly(my cousin)my daughter might not have ever gotten into LPS. BabyPupperfly used to collect the older ones when she was growing up and that is what started it all for my daughter. So now my daughter collects MLP(thanks to good old mom),LPS(thanks to Pupperfly)and the little furryvilles animals(that is thanks to my daughter loving animals and something she has picked she liked all on her own.
I have to say these new LPS aren't so different from the old ones. I like the new one since they are a little bigger and I think they are alot cuter, but Pupperfly would not agree she like the older ones(and why wouldn't she that is where she started at).

I definitely prefer the originals, the little creatures did look more real than the new ones

I would have to say I prefer the originals. They looked more realistic, and I loved all the sets they came with. It seemed they had more detail back then. A lot of them sparkled and shimmered. Some of the new ones are alright, but I didn't grow up with them so I never got attached to them. I don't dislike them, but I can't quite figure out what this generation has with big heads and huge sad eyes. The poor things kinda look unhappy.
