my husband and I was sitting on the porch talking and we heard some rustling in the bushes by the porch, we thought it would be a garter snake which we have been having problems with. but when we looked over it was a kitten and we later found two more kittens. so now we have three kitties living in our bushes, we got them to come out with some kitty treats and we gave them food and water, they are so adorable. They where running around and playing with each other. I would guess they are about 7 or 8 weeks old. About the age you would be trying to find homes for them. We don't know if someone just dropped them off or not since we have not heard mewing or anything before today. or if they came from the field behind us, they are starting to clear it out to put a subdivision in so they might have been scared up to our house.

I will probably just let them stay unless I can find someone who will take all three it would be sad to break them up. especially if only one or two people wanted one. It is getting cold at night and at least with all three outside they will stay warm. I would bring them inside but my two inside cats would not like that lol they are old and set in their ways and are strictly inside cats they do not have the skills they need to be outside cats.
So the three outside cats can stay where they are it will help with keeping mice down when they are building houses behind us anyway.
I'm keeping a look out for their Mom but have not seen an adult cat coming around not sure if their Mom would still be taking care of them or not at their age but I don't think they could actually hunt on their own yet.
Luckily this is a more farming/orchard community so we are allowed to have more animal's then down in the city. How old do cats need to be to get them spayed or neutered does anyone know?

I think for kittens its ovre three pounds, maybe? A spay neuter van came through our town a couple weeks ago and it was only like thirty dollers but of course I could not catch a single stray! There are supposed to come around again though. Good for you for getting them fixed

Umm well yesterday and today there is only one of the kitties now and an adult Siamese cat who looks like she just had kittens but then her belly is still kinda hard, she does have big nipples though. so I don't know if she was the mommy of the kitties or if she is pregnant now. I don't know where the two other kitties went.. I hope the adult cat did not hurt them or scare them away but why would she only do that to two of the three? Well, the adult cat and the kitty that are still here get alone fine they will both eat out of the same bowl at the same time but when they are just laying around the big one will growl at the kitty when she tries to play with her.
now out of all the kitties their was one that was a little bigger then the other two and that is the one that is still around. She looks like a tabby, the other two kitties looked more like they could have been from the Siamese cat. one was black with white feet, and the other was gray and had a slight calico look to her. Wish I knew what happened to them.
I'll get pictures of the ones out their if I can.

oooohhhh send some pics my daughter loves siamese kittys wish I lived near you cuz I would come pic them up from you. when we went to the animal shelter to turn our dogs in they told me to just become a "foster mom for pets" instead of the mom. We have taken toooooooo many pets in and have had them vetted and fixed and turned them over to the shelter. you know how it is it get tooooo expensive after awhile, I was sad to see the dogs go we had them for 5 mo already usually the longest we keep them is 2 weeks. buy kittys they are harder for me to get rid of. maybe 6-10 months id say. darn it why you got to live so far??? ;D
