Hi all. My name is Stacey and I just joined today and wanted to say hello. I bought my first LPS animals a couple of years ago but just recently got into collecting them seriously. My favorites are turtles and frogs, but I also like the parrots a lot.
I'm a college student in the frigid tundra of Wisconsin, but I'm moving to the West coast soon!

Welcome!! Where in Wisconsin, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in the Quad Cities (Iowa) but I have some friends up at Wisconsin-Madison, it is beautiful (and cold!) there!

Hi! My sister lives in Appleton. It's going to be a sunny 70 degrees down in Southern Illinois.

Hi again all, thanks for the very kind welcome! I can't wait to post more about my pets. I only have about 18 now, but the number is growing.
I live in Madison, WI and Allison is right--very cold, but very beautiful. It should be up to 48 degrees today. Yippee!
We had the worst winter on record here this past year--I swear there was an entire week when it didn't get above ten below...

Did you do the snow-sledding down the big hill? When I went to visit my cousin, they were doing that! I couldn't get over how cold it was! The campus is gorgeous, though. I love the movie "The Last Kiss" because of that! Where are you headed West for?

Hi again, all. Thanks for the very kind welcomes all around. I just went out and bought a bunch of new pets last night, so my collection is growing. I finally found the Great Dane with the two different colored eyes...nowhere around here seems to carry the singles, so I was glad to finally have found it!
I'm moving to the Portland area, soon. I'll be able to escape the cold weather a bit, but I'll now have to contend with lots and lots of rain. I'm originally from a dry western climate, so it'll be a major change.

That's awesome about the Great Dane -- where did you find him?? Aaw, enjoy Portland! I haven't been there, but I have visited Seattle and though it rains a lot, it really is beautiful!

Hey, Allison! Portland is a pretty nice town and I think is similar to Seattle in terms of weather (for better or worse). If you're on the hunt for the Great Dane, I've seen a ton of them (as well as almost all the singles in that same series of six) at the Shopko chain of stores. I don't know if you have them, but they're a good place to look because they don't appear to get a lot of traffic in their toy section (at least not here in Madison). Plus, all the singles were on sale for $1.99, down from $2.99. Hope that helps!

I live in the Quad Cities (Davenport, IA / Moline, IL) and we don't have any ShopKos in the area, unfortunately! We're looking for all six of the new singles, still!
