By the way...I love your "location" (There's not "noise" in Illinois.) This is pathetic, but it took me a few days to get what you meant. I thought you were saying Illinois is really quiet. Then I realized you were talking about how some people pronounce it IlliNOISE, instead of Illinois (silent "s", folks.) That really bugs me when people do that too. The sad thing is...one of my aunts was born and raised in Illinois, and still calls it IlliNOISE. I want to say something so bad when she does that. Ugh! People do that with Des Moines, too! It always makes me laugh. ;D

It's my ONE flaw!! ;D

Wow that is quite and impressive collection. I love how you have it displayed, i try to display my daughters on her bookshelf but she just likes to keep them in the little LPS tackle box (sorry thats what i call it, since i don't know the specific name). I also saw you had a few care bears and smurfs on that couch, what else do you collect? Thanks very much!!! ;D I call it the tacklebox too. My husband couldn't believe I spent that much money on a tacklebox with LPS stickers. I do collect Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins. And a few Smurfs (that's all the Smurfs I have right now though.) I think I'm done with the Care Bears now though. I have enough that they fill up my window sills, so there's no more room. I call them my Care Bear Army, since they are all lined up there. My husband actually likes those...he thinks that's cute. I have a pretty large collection of stuffed animals in general. They are in almost every room of the apartment, except the kitchen and bathroom. Let's see...what else...oh, gnomes. And globes. And tall sailing ship stuff (like models, pictures, etc.) If you click the link under my avatar, it takes you to my "Mrs. V's Stuff" website. I haven't updated it in forever, but I have some of my stuff there. And I collect lamb/sheep stuff too. Thanks again!!

People do that with Des Moines, too! It always makes me laugh. ;D That's even funnier, because my aunt that calls it Illi-noise, now lives in Des Moines. I wonder how she pronounces it? That's too funny! What a coincidence! I'm from Florida, and apparently I was taught how to pronounce Illinois correctly, but I had heard Des Moines both ways. I took French in high school, so I know what it would be in French but that doesn't mean that's how the locals say it. Now I know... Oh, and if you think that coincidence is funny. I used to live in Alachua County in FL, which is pronounced "A-latch-you-a", where both A's are short A's. Nearby there is a small city also spelled Alachua, but pronounced "A-latch-you-a", where the last A is a long A. No idea why the difference in pronunciation. So, I finally move to New Mexico, and now I live in Bernalillo County, and nearby there's a small town named Bernalillo. But here they are both pronounced the same way. Now I understand why they pronounce the two differently in Florida. It makes it easy to figure out which one you are talking about.

I just realized, today, that I pronounce Wisconsin "Wiss-con-sin", much to the delight and entertainment of my cousin who is graduating from Wisconsin-Madison. He proceeded to put me on speakerphone, and have me say it again, so all his fraternity brothers could laugh at me, too. Mean! So I feel your pain, Carol! And we still love you, even if you "warsh" your hands!

It's interesting for me to see the difference in my first picture of my LPS Corner and the most recent... This was posted almost exactly a year ago (March 26, 2007.) And the picture from yesterday: By the way...does anyone know if I can change the title of my thread so that it changes in every reply. I want it to say "new pictures on page 12" on all the replies, but I don't know how. WOW!!!!!!! THATS AMAZING! WHEN WE MOVE, I'm so gonna decorate my extra room like that!!! ;D amazing!

Thanks again for your very sweet comments, ballerina!! I do love my LPS Corner. I'm very lucky that my husband doesn't care how I "decorate" our apartment. We're 36 years old, and our living room looks like a toy store. But I just can't help it. They make me smile!! I hope you get to have an LPS room someday!

My husband really don't care where a display my LPS - BUT, not anywhere near his video game stuff, so he have a tiny ugly space and I have the rest of my house!! I really love your collection - so much happiness and love in that corner, Carol!!! BTW your Carol’s Pets sign it's beautiful, did you made it?
