I finally broke down and looked to see what everyone was talking about. I coulda gone the rest of my life without knowing what occurs with colon cleansing. At least without pics of it. Good Luck Carol. ;D I know, right? I still can't believe people take pictures!! Ick!! My stuff shipped today....any day now... I mentioned this stuff to Jeff last night and believe it or not, he had already looked into it. He said, the one site he looked at, people lost about 10 lbs average after poopin' all that stuff out. He is very skeptical, so Carol be sure to give us all the details (no pix please). Is it a pill, liquid, powder, what?

Oh, ouch, Boodie!!! Sorry to hear that!! Haven't you been brushing your teeth?!! Just kidding, I have cavities too, and I brush. But I don't floss, and they say that's my problem. I HATE flossing! My teeth are so close together that even the really skinny floss is hard to get in and out and it hurts!!

Well, I think it's pills and tea. Which kinda sucks, because I don't like hot tea. Blech. Hopefully it doesn't taste like butt. But I don't know what the "cleanser" stuff is...maybe a powder that you put in water? I'm not sure yet.
"The Colonix Intestinal Cleanser is a fiber supplement that cleanses the colon of accumulated toxic build-up. Continued use of the Colonix Intestinal Cleanser keeps the digestive tract from getting clogged up with mucus, toxins and metabolic waste. It helps to keep the colon clean and waste matter moving freely and efficiently by creating a spongy, gelatinous mass in the bowels. By swelling and absorbing fluids, it breaks down and moves toxic waste matter stuck in the folds and crevices of the colon.
The Paranil capsules contain 18 detoxifying herbs that have been successfully used for many years by naturopaths and other health professionals to purify the colon and liver. It is powerful yet safe and well tolerated by adults.
The KleriTea herbal tea for Regularity and Detoxification works in synergy with the Colonix fiber by ‘kick-starting’ bowel movements in the morning while maintaining regular movements during the day. It has a crucial role in assisting in the detoxification process. It also has a soothing effect on the nervous system, making it an ideal beverage before bed. It contains no caffeine."

Oh, here...I read further:
It’s very easy to use: You don't have to alter your life in any way and it takes only 5 minutes in the morning (taking 2-4 capsules and drinking a tasty fiber shake) and 5 in the evening (drinking a cup of herbal tea). No fasting or special diets are involved.
"Tasty" fiber shake? Yeah, right!! I'm sure it will be TASTY!

Ok, I need to stop reading stuff on that site, because I might be too scared to take the stuff. More than one person said they had worms come out. Worms. Ick!!! I don't want to know that I have worms. I'm just going to have to go, flush, and not look.
And yes, Judy, more than one person says they lost about 10 pounds in 2 weeks. That would be cool.

I brush my teeth 2 - 3 times a day. My problem is that when I was in high school, I had braces. They were actual metal bands (not the "stick-on" kind) and my dad was in the Army, so I went to Army dentists. Every month when I went in, I saw a different guy. On several occasions, they tightened them too tight and I ended up with cracks in all of my teeth. Over time, these cracks have turned into cavities or have actually broken off in spots. We decided to just get all this stuff done all at once and get it over with. Today he just worked on one side and then next time he'll work on the other side. Then I get my teeth whitened and then I get my last crown on my left front tooth. I had a root canal done on it about 14 years ago. When Jason was a baby, I was holding him on my lap at a doctors office and trying to keep him still. He threw his head back and hit me smack in the teeth. Because this tooth was already cracked, it damaged it more resulting in a root canal. Owwwiieeeee! Anyway, since that time, it has become discolored and I am sooo embarrassed to smile! I'm hoping this dentist can make it all better and NOT make it look like I have a Chiclet stuck in there for a tooth. (For all you younger guys...Chiclets were popular when I was a kid. It was gum that was shaped like a rounded, 3-D square and was usually white.) Here's a pic... Anyway - if I would have known the trouble I was going to have as an adult, I would have never gotten braces at all. My teeth were not that krooked (sp), but I just "had to have them". Any dental work is expensive. Lord knows dentists went to years of school so they could make the big bucks and cure our owies. There's no way I could do it. Too much spit, blood, gross, yukky stuff for me! Oh, and I'm not that smart. And yes, Carol, flossing is a pain in the butt! But very important for your gum health. Lots of grody stuff grows under there! eeeeewwww!! All I can say is, I'd rather spend the money now and get it over with then to wait until it's too late and I have to get false teeth! My dad had to get them and he hates them. Smoochies!!

I've tried the Colonix, Everything tastes fine, you won't have a problem getting it down. You do drink tea in the evening, it helps get things moving so you "go" in the morning.. just read all the directions good. You can try it for a couple weeks and if it's not for you, you can send it back and they'll refund your money no questions asked.
Anyway, today was day #1 for me for exercise... I love Fall and we had a wonderful sunny 70 degree day! I pumped up my bike tires and rode almost a mile probably, but it was hard for me cause I'm so out of shape, my thighs were killing me, I had to coast alot to take breaks. But you have to start somewhere. I can't walk too far yet cause it hurts my back, so I thought I'd try biking for a while ... and also try and do some workout videos a couple times a week. Getting into the exercise part is easier for me than the food part.. I just need to be consistant (that's the issue and the key to success) which I haven't been able to do in the past, but I don't really have a choice anymore... I'm getting older, heavier and more un healthy as each year goes by!
I hope everyone is doing well ... baby steps, ya know.. as long as your going in the right direction!

I'm baby stepping backwards sometimes:-( I get too obsessed about being perfect. I really have to focus on the small changes and not look at a few mistakes. Like, I ate too much last night for dinner but I haven't had a soda for 2 weeks. And I went walking for 30 mins today.
Judy!! So sorry to hear about the dental problems. I had the same kind of braces you did. They fit around you tooth like a sleeve. They were UGLY! Hope you heal quickly.

One day at a time... I'm speaking to myself the most! Beetle Bailey you did GREAT, walking 30 minutes and getting pop out of your diet are great steps in the right direction Don't beat yourself up! I am the worst at this.. but I'm not going to quit trying.. it seems like the hardest thing besides being consistant, is just moving on and keep going after a bad decision or two.

I agree, Sherry. It's easy to throw in the towel when you've slipped up. Very easy for me. I'm at 195; just 5 pounds less than I was when we started this. I could do better. Way better. I always feel inspired when I read this thread. Thank you all!
