Hi, I'm new here, and have really enjoyed seeing all your beautiful and creative LPS customs. Wow, you people are super imaginative!
Inspired by your examples, I re-painted an LPS cat to look like my daughter's cat. It's a gift for her. But now I'm stuck, because I don't know what to make for my other daughter. She's getting a Webkinz tiger snake for her birthday, and I'd like to make a matching LPS snake. But I don't know how to make the body--none of the LPS bodies I've seen look snake-like. I think a turtle or gecko head would be okay, but I don't know how to make the body, especially how to get it to fit into the head.
Can anyone give me an idea?
I'll try to post a picture of my re-painted cat later.
Thanks so much! Cindy

Welcome, Cindylou!
Elizabeth (mrs. "e") will be the best one to give you advice on creating snakes. She's created quite a few wonderful snakes. I'm not exactly sure what pets she uses. But I'm sure she'll read your post soon and let you know.

Thanks Carol!
Welcome CindyLou. I can't wait to see your custom cat pics. The easiest way to make a snake is to use a seahorse body and a sitting turtle head. To pop off the heads, first heat with a blow dryer. Then, just pull. Cut off the seahorses flippers and back spikes. Reattaching heads is much harder than taking them off, but luckily, in this case, the sitting turtle head doesn't bobble. So, it's super easy to just push into the seahorse body. There ya go. You can paint it as is. Or, you can cut off the seahorse tail and use Aves Apoxie Sculpt to smooth out the body and make your own tail. I hope this helps. Good luck. Keep us posted on your progress. -Elizabeth

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I haven't yet found the seahorse, but hopefully I'll track one down.
One more question: what tool should I use to cut parts off?
Thanks! Cindy

Hi, I don't know the rules on this forum for exchanging information; however, I have just acquired a lps seahorse for cindylou if still needed. I just need to know how one does this on the forum and whether or not we are allowed to post email addresses, etc. to contact off the forum. Please let me know. Thanks everyone. Joan <><
I'm new to the forum, but not to Littlest Petshop or Webkinz.
