yep, that was me. i didn't think that 24.00 was that costly for a complete set of deer guys. especially since i hadn't seen any up lately. obviously someone wanted the entire set, because someone bought it the day after i posted it. i had every accessory EXCEPT for those two figures, and it was a perfect fit. who had that good of a match, and if they didn't, then what are their chances of finding one of those tiny butterflies or the hay piece??? i did not buy the deer the day it was posted. there are several lots (well, at least two) on ebay right now that have the deer and the set in them and no one's stopping you from bidding. if you have a problem with this particular exchange, then please send me a pm and we can debate there. as far as mean moneymakers, my history is that i have been buying lots to add my accessories to because i donated all of my pets to the thrift store in hawaii before i moved. in addition to selling the deer set, i have sold other completed sets as well as accessories to people on this board and on ebay. at the moment i am in college and doing various odd jobs to make money, and i also have a small collection of toys (LPS and otherwise) and illustrated children's books/fairy tales because i am a cartoonist/illustrator as one of my odd jobs. i am not making rent off of the deer set, believe me! in good non-aggressive spirits, -n

ahhhh! i wanted the base. but we all in it, right. ;] i think i'll just use my loose deer to customize when i finally display my lps, which will be like, never.
i could see how people feel about the whole buying and selling for profit thing. i have to admit, that i'm guilty of doing that. well, at least my intentions. and i would say that any profit i would make wouldn't be actual profit, since i'm really just trying to break even with all of the money i spent on lps. of course, i don't think i'll ever break even or come close. if i had the motivation to do as misty did, who is/was pretty close to breaking even, then i would. sigh. even then, ebay is a business and it is definitely not fun seeing someone get something for a good deal and sell it back. i would be jealous too. ;] but hey, we all gotta make that money. ;]

the drama was i saw deer on ebay, thought hmm those are all the pieces i need to finish that set to sell it... i had two deer bases and one was all the accessories, so i needed some deers bad. i need rid of these accessories. and i knew more people wanted complete deer sets since they're hard to get.
i left the deer on ebay and sat back for a bit and when no one snatched them like they did with the other lots the girl had up (not sure who it was! ginger?), i snatched the deer. then they got to me in the mail, i took a photo of them in their reclaimed territory, and sold them that day for 24.00. i spent 13.00 on the deer with shipping included. so i basically sold the deer accessories for 9.00 minus all ebay and paypal fees. probably not worth it at all if you're talking about moneymaking. i can't even buy 100ft^2 of bubblewrap with 9.00 minus ebay/paypal fees.
the deer apparently don't come up very much so i can see why feelings were hurt. but look hard on ebay right now and you might find another set...*hint hint*

I don't think that was a bad price to resell a set for. I would be upset if a regular reseller sold rare pieces for say $40 a piece. I would have done the same thing myself, weaselmouse. I think I may buy another whole set just to get the two pieces I'm missing.
