Everyone is always saying they are "making" one but no one ever does, lol. Let's do it... lets make an excel checklist for each set, with individual photos of each accessory, and maybe also a loose piece accessory guide to figure out what stray combs and dishes and things go to. Someone can make the initial template, and anyone interested could download the template and add the photos and stuff, and then someone could compile it all together. I'll volunteer if no one else wants to do it. =p I can't do it all myself since I don't have all the sets. Anyone in?

yes, in! BUT i know that Angelbear is actively working on that right now. that's why she's been also asking questions about certain pieces. other than that i'm in to take a section. We'd have to ask how Angelbear is doing it so that we can follow the same format. Hopefully we can take pictures the same way too, so that it all looks the same. We could probably also check over each other's work to give any feedback or see if there are other things we can add. =]

OK, I guess she can tell us which ones she's already done... also I was thinking it would be cool to take scans of the fact cards and cardboard scenes so people can print them and use them as placeholders in their displays until they find a real one. =p

I was just making one like the G2 list that was available on this board using excel. I am trying to be very painstakingly careful that I check and double check each set for accuracy rather than copying and pasting lists from the web sites. I have already found a few discrepancies so it pays to be careful. You can see an example of my list here: www.poseableplace.com/temppics/example.xlsI am going slowly, but if you guys want to help on making the list of accessories I can take the pictures. I am a professional photographer so I have nice equipment and I know how to use editing software to match the colors most accurately. I also have about 80% of the sets now, and of those I don't have I am sure between us we have them. So if one of you, or any of you are willing to use this excel file and add onto it, helping me to list each set and giving each accessory it's own line I can do the pictures. The person who wants to do this can email me updated versions of the list and I can place it here for download so we can all check the list for accuracy. A few things I am making sure to do with this checklist is: * Photograph the item so that the correct colors are reflected. * When I can, photograph the variations in the same picture * List the items that have color variations in the same description but coloring the text BLUE in order to be easily seen. I do this rather than making a separate line for each variation because it looks cleaner and makes the sets less confusing to the new collector. If the food dish can come in 3 different colors, I don't want the new collector to think it comes with three different food dishes. so, one line per accessory, and variations in blue. * I'm listing the baby buddies in another worksheet within the same file so that the pieces can be compared. * I am Listing them in a format that can be sorted easily. For example, in one column I am putting which type of item they are (accessory, pet, play set, cut outs, etc) also, when I type the description of the item I am sure to do it so that it can be sorted with like items within excel. Example: Instead of writing: Brown dog with fluffy tail and a blue collar I write: Dog, Brown With Fluffy Tail, Blue Collar This way they can be alphabetically sorted into 'like' items - this will be especially useful with the food dishes. If we all work together then that saves one of us 12 hours of one on one work, so as I said before, if Flipdat or Misty (or anyone else) cares to help make the actual list part then I can take the pictures.

Oh yeah, and I wanted to make a separate worksheet that has a picture of each set complete in a checklist format, just for people who want to keep track of which sets they have complete. We could also do the scans too.
I am including the card board cut outs on the back of the boxes in this list, such as the fact cards for all the barn animals etc. because people like to collect them.

Awesome checklist Is that all you have done so far? Just making sure so we don't do anything twice in in case you have more on your computer. I can do some of the lists, I'm sure flipdat will too, we should split it up. I can do some pics if needed, though I doubt I have any sets that no one here already has, but just in case, what are the other sets you need photos for, angelbear? I have a scanner too and I have a couple cardboard scenes, fact cards, box backs and certificates... This will be fun hehe, I really need a checklist

Hi, yes this is all I have done - which is not much I know!
You two can split the checklist in half, maybe one of you do one side of Zeus' list, and one do the other side??
Let me get my stuff together and take pictures one evening and I will know for sure what I need pictures of. Off the top of my head I know I need pictures of certain sparkling and dazzling hair sets, some of the 1993 switched versions of the 1992 sets, the merpets, many of the horse sets. I guess I will know for sure soon. Some things I only have MIP and I don't want to open them even for pictures so if people have them loose then that would be good too.
So if you two can start work on the list part I will start work on the photographing of the accessories. When each of you are done you can email me the lists you made and I can match the pictures to the list, and then post it on the board for everyone to go through and verify if we have our information right.
You can copy and paste Zeus' lists directly into the spreadsheet, which will save time, I only ask that you rephrase the descriptions so that they are easy to sort through, and combine variations together and highlight them blue.
Flipdat, hopefully you can help, if not let us know -- we are all busy, so post here if you can't and maybe we can figure out something else.
Also, if anyone reading this wants to help you are more than welcome.

No actually I got really lucky, when I bought a lot off eBay I asked the lady if she had more and she sold them to me for $5! There were a bunch of different items with them. I was really stoked.
I am going to start taking pictures tonight since my husband is snowed in, I have an hour or two of free time.

I took pictures of about 50 sets, it took me about four hours! I am ready to add them when the lists are made. I need to edit them of course, which will also take a bunch of time.
So Misty is doing sparkling and Dazzling sets, Flipdat is going to start up the 1992 sets, once you get those done you can send me the file at poseableplace@gmail.com
By the way, no pressure on either of you, we all have LIVES!! Well I do, sort of . . . get them together when you have the time.
