I'm still begging the BF for this. He says as soon as my Laptop is paid off (only owe 150.00) on it now) **jumping up and down** then I can go get the Wii. He asked how much it was and about fell out of his chair. LOL So I will be working like heck to get my laptop paid off so I can get my Wii... We just got a Wii - it is so much fun! I'm old enough that I didn't play too many video games in my youth, but I'm having fun with the Wii. I wonder what you will actually do in the LPS game? Anyone who plays it, please post what it's like. Thanks!

I don't think I'll get the LPS games though, I think they are aimed for the little kids and if kids are already playing more sophisticated games, they might be bored with LPS games too quickly. But I'm getting (100% sure ;D) Animal Crossing City Folk. I'm not much of a player otherwise, but have really enjoyed playing Animal Crossing Wild World on my DS.

I bought him the game "Call to Duty 4" and he is addicted and I love it. He even forgot to pick his niece up from school one day while he was playing LOL. I will be buying the LPS game and I will definately have to check out the Animal Crossing Game. Congrats HUntress and Robin. Now WII are all family for sure

Congrats HUntress and Robin. Now WII are all family for sure Yep, for sure! ;D I'm new to gaming, so I've never heard of the Animal Crossing game. What is it exactly? Who makes it? Is that it's full name - 'Animal Crossing'? Is there more than one version? Thank you!

I wonder what you will actually do in the LPS game? Anyone who plays it, please post what it's like. Thanks! If you have a wii connected to the internet, there's a preview video on the nintendo channel. It looks pretty simple - dress your pets, walk around and see other pets, play mini games (collect the coin, match the beats) for 'kibble' that lets you buy other items for your pet and it's house. They don't indicate any interactivity, so it looks like a game for the younger set so far. Re Animal Crossing (forget who asked) there are two versions so far - Animal Crossing for Gamecube and Animal Crossing for DS - both are real time games (by that I mean there is not an artificial clock, when you play is when it is in the AC world, so if it's your birthday today, it's your birthday in AC) without 'goals' like find the star or save the princess - you interact with other characters like you would a neighbor, you run errands for them, they give you gifts, you go fishing - it's very simple but also very engaging - and you can trade with other towns or other players.

Here's the thread where we were talking about it a while ago. lpscollectors.proboards56.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=8160&page=1There's a version for the GameCube that came out back in 2001, I think. You can play it on the Wii now too, which I still do. Then there is the DS version (Animal Crossing: Wild World) which I've been playing since it came out (I think it was 2 1/2 years ago.) And the Wii version is coming out in November (Animal Crossing: City Folk.) I'm obsessed with Animal Crossing, so just let me know any questions you have.

I ended up getting another ACWW cartridge, since we have two DS consoles, and it is so much fun! I play with my daughter and we visit each other's towns. Some animals from the original cartridge moved into the new one and it was fun visiting them because they recognize you! And as a benefit we have a Nooktington's store in each game and my DD and I love to change our hairdos each time we play. It's like two cartridges share the same memory in some unexpected ways. Really neat!

Thank you Polym, Mrs. V and Huntress for all your info!
It sounds like fun, so I'll have to look into it in the future. Right now I'm still learning how to use the Wii remote properly. You ought to see how badly I drive in MarioKart!

Sadly, Kim, I am using the wheel I am slowly starting to improve, but that ghost course still gets me confused, along with lots of other things. It's a lot of fun though!

I'm real bad at mariokart too, even with the wheel...
When I play it at nintendo DS I play better.
But I love bowling and tenis. Even cooking mama is fun (the graphics aren't so nice).

I agree, Bibi! Liquor on E rated games! Mario kart- I can finish a race successfuly in 30 min. That is darn right horrible! I prefer myself the Wii Fit, I lose cal. and have fun! I also like starwars legos (I-big Star Wars fan) and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Girly girl fighting with swords and 'sabers- Funny!
